John Keawe is a songwriter and slack key guitarist who was born on the Big Island of Hawaii, in the North Kohala district. he is a self taughtHawaiian slack key guitarist. Through the years, he has developed his own distinct style. John has won numerous music awards in the islands and was a contributing artist on Hawaii first Grammy Award in 2005. to date he has a total of 8 CD's, a performance-documentary DVD and an instructional DVD.
