Alter is hot with a sense of nostalgia, lyricism, a melody line that is easy on the ears even though it is mainly English poetry, and a catchy chorus that makes everyone want to sing along. Although the main tone of this album is influenced by the screamo bands from overseas such as Silverstein, the song "Trap over scrap" has influences from hardcore and Hip Hop, which is a new style of music that they have never had before.
