GrandAce enjoys music, though that's somewhat of an understatement. GrandAce is a 19 year - old Hip Hop artist from Dayton, Ohio with a passion for music spanning across the ages. He draws a lot of influence from his African-American Culture, as well as the late night and early morning atmosphere. He graduated from Stivers School for the Performing Arts, and attends a College Conservatory of Music where he is excelling.
He produces, writes, and engineers his own music and has an extensive amount of sleep loss as a result of his musical studies; a feat he is quite proud of. He grew up in the studio following his mom, Paula Latham as she worked artists with such as, Earth Wind & Fire (Sheldon Reynolds), and traveled with other acclaimed artists. After being exposed to a rich musical culture, he decided that music was for him. He finds himself to be similar to popular Artists, Andre 3000, Childish Gambino, and Chance the Rapper. His production influences are varied, aside from those already mentioned, a few prominent figures are Herbie Hancock, Odd Future, Noah “40” Shebib and Flying Lotus.
He aims to be known as an artist that people attach events and emotions to. He believes that in a few years, he will be synonymous with youth culture, yet still have relevance with older audiences, while popularizing his own sound in the process.
