Dan Crawford grew up in Flint, Michigan, where he trained vocally from the age of 4. He took up guitar at 12, then later keyboards, bass, and harmonica. He was a very successful local musician before moving to Sarasot Florida in 1977. There he continued to perform as a solo artist as well as form the band Overture in 1980. Dan has opened shows for Gregg Allman, Firefall, and the Coasters. Dan has been composing for over 30 years and has recorded 2 solo CDs (Present Tense and Frame of Mind) all containing Dan's original work. He has received numerous awards for his compositions, including "Welcome to the Real World" and many others. His style is reminiscent of southern jazz but uniquely his own.Dan is also a member of "The Tapwater Conchs" who recorded the CD "What Happens in Key West". He is currently a popular performer at beach and nightspots throughout Florida.
